Here are the steps to take if you are a new student seeking financial aid:
Step 1
Apply for your Federal PIN. If you are dependent, your parents should also apply for a PIN. This PIN will serve as your electronic signature on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Once you receive your PIN, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2
Once you have received your PIN, complete your FAFSA on the Web. The School Code for all MSB Campuses is 017145 and for Globe University is 004642. Please list the appropriate code on your FAFSA. If you prefer to file a paper FAFSA, please contact one of our Financial Aid Offices to have one mailed to you.
Step 3
Turn in all documents requested by GU/MSB. We will send you a request via e-mail or postal mail with needed documents. Make sure all requested documents are signed by you and your parents, if applicable.
Step 4
When your file is complete, you will receive an award letter. This award letter will be delivered to you in one of several ways:
- An individual appointment will be made for you to meet with a Financial Aid Administrator on campus to review your award letter,
- An award letter will be e-mailed to the e-mail address on file or
- An individual telephone appointment will be made for you to review your award letter after receiving it via e-mail.
Step 5
If you were awarded student loans, you must apply for other loans separately.
