Graduation
Meet: Dan Pehrson
My name is Dan Pehrson and I currently reside with my family in Orlando, Florida. I have a wonderful supportive wife named Candace, a 14 year old daughter Megan, and an 11 year old son Daniel Jr. or DJ for short. They have all had to make several sacrifices and allowances to help me get through this program, but each have done so willingly. Without their love and constant support this would have not have been possible. Remember fellow students, with a solid supporting cast in your life, you can achieve anything!!!
Professional background
I have been in the field of accounting for almost 15 years in total. I currently work for American Management Services, which is one of the largest property management companies in the United States. We currently have properties located in over 260 major metropolitan areas and also in Shanghai, China. I am currently the staff accountant for 10 properties and provide all daily posting of transactions through the completion of the financial statements that are presented to the different ownership groups that we support. It is a challenging and rewarding career path and I love being a part of it!
Personal interests and hobbies
Prior to major back surgery in 2002, I was a very avid bowler and golfer. Now, I just enjoy any free time that I am able to spend with my family. We all enjoy swimming and other outdoor activities together.
Why I enjoy attending MSB Online
I enjoy attending MSB Online because it is a very comfortable atmosphere for me. I am able to do this at my own pace and at any time throughout the day that I am available. I also enjoy the very direct educational methods that MSB utilizes, such as the discussion forums and the overall team oriented classes. These have proven to be very helpful in my current employment position. I also followed the advice of my grandmother who graduated herself from Globe College more than 80 years ago and often spoke highly of her experiences there!!
Why I believe in online education
Online education is so convenient for busy professionals like myself and my fellow students. It allows us to pursue our educational dreams and improve our job marketability without having to be strapped in a classroom every evening or all weekend long. This is the most enjoyable method of education that I have ever had the privilege of being associated with and I recommend it highly!!
My future goals.
My graduation in September!! Then I am going to focus on furthering my career through any possibilities that my current employer may have, or broaden my horizons and take on a new, more exciting challenge!!
