Personal background
My name is Carrie Luedtke. I live in the northern Twin Cities metro area, where I have lived all my life. My husband and I have a six year old son and a four year old daughter.
Professional background
I received my A.A.S. degree in accounting in 1999. I found a job as an accounting assistant for an engineering firm. My responsibilities quickly grew and I became responsible for all of the accounting aspects of the firm as well as human resources. It became apparent to me that both my company and I would benefit if I completed my four year degree. In March 2006 I registered for the online Bachelors in Business program at MSB. I am excited to be in my last quarter of school and will graduate on June 19, 2008.
Personal interests and hobbies
My free time is spent with my family. We love playing games and watching movies together. I also enjoy biking, scrapbooking, and reading.
Why I enjoy attending MSB online
MSB online gives me a well rounded education that will help me to excel in the workplace. The instructors understand the challenges of online education. Many of the other online students are working and have families, so there is a strong support network among the student base.
Why I believe in online education
I love the flexibility an online education gives me. When I was considering going back to school, I knew I wasn’t willing to miss any of the activities or events my family participated in because of classes. Online education allows me to work my schooling around my personal life. I still have dinner with my family every night and put my kids to bed. I typically do all my homework in the evenings when my kids are asleep.
My future goals
I plan to put my education to use and continue to move up at the company I am currently working for. I hope to pursue my MBA using MSB’s online MBA program at some point in the future.
Words of wisdom
Stick with your education. The time and investment are well worth it in the long run. You’ll be done before you know it.
