A Transfer of Credit evaluation is done upon receipt of official transcript(s) from prior school(s). Globe University/Minnesota School of Business evaluates courses successfully completed at other institutions accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The following conditions apply for transferring credits to Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB):
- All transferable credits must have earned a grade of C- or better and be at the college level of 100/1000 or above.
- A minimum of 25% of total program credits must be completed at GU/MSB in all undergraduate programs. The additional program credits may be transfer credits or credits earned through advanced-standing tests, prior learning and/or work experience.
- GU/MSB awards quarter credits. In considering coursework transferring from semester schools, a semester credit is equivalent to 1.5 quarter credits.
- Courses taken at prior school(s) not part of GU/MSB course offerings may be awarded credit in the appropriate liberal arts or core requirements area, if applicable. For example, 4 credits successfully earned in American History (not currently offered at GU/MSB) may be awarded as 4 credits of Social Science.
- Decisions based on transfer of credit should be considered valid at the date of evaluation. When curricula changes and/or a change of program occur, decisions about transfer of credit may be affected.
For a complete outline of the transfer of credit policy please refer to the GU/MSB Catalog.
