The institution does not provide software and it must be purchased from an outside source. This is a comprehensive list of all online courses requiring specific software, regardless of the quarter offered.
SS103- Global Citizenship
Students are required to purchase headphones for this course. They will need to use it during Elluminate sessions and various other courses throughout their higher education.
NOTE to students taking information technology courses (DB, IT, NT, SD, WD)
In general, each students should have their own computer that was purchased within the last three years. The computer should have at least 2 GB RAM and 12 GB of free hard drive space. The student should have administrative access to the machine or a virtual machine that resides on the machine, as most courses in the information technology program will require software installation. All students taking these courses should have Microsoft Office Professional 2010. Students enrolled in any IT program are eligible to recieve Microsoft software, free of charge through Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA) and ELMS.
CA170 Digital Tools
Adobe CS 5 (either MAC or PC) is required for this course.
CM111 Speech Communications
This course requires a computer equipped with a microphone and speakers to complete required coursework.
CL111 Introduction to Computer Literacy
Microsoft Office Professional 2010 is required for this course. Students must complete coursework within a website for this course. Access to the website required a minimum cromputer processing power of Pentium 4 as well as an operating system minimum of Microsoft XP with Service Pack 2, minimum memory of 512MB or higher (1GB for students with Windows Vista).

Students should have administrative access to their machines or a virtual machine as they may be required to download and install additional software. All of these courses require Virtual PC 2007(available for free download from MSDNAA-ELMS). Student machines must have a minimum of 2GB RAM and 12 GB free hard drive space to store virtual machines.
KY100 Keyboarding I
Microsoft Office Professional 2007 or 2010 is required for this course. Students must opt for either the MS Office Professional 2007 or 2010 version of the guidebook included in the text book kit. STudents must complete coursework within a website for this course. Access to the websiterequires a minimum computer processing power of Pentium 4 as well as an operating system minimum of Microsoft XP with Service Pack 2, minimum memory of 512 MB or higher (1 GB for students with Windows Vista). Students taking this class online, cannot complete course work on a residential campus computer.
LA215 Law Office Procedures and Technology. There are issues with Windows 7 and the compatibility of this course. Students need to have Microsoft Access on their computers.
